One of things I read when I feel down

Sometimes, I honestly want to quit.. and live a simple life.. But I know my mother did not give birth to a simple child.. She gave birth to a person who speaks out for others and who definitely does not and will not allow naysayers to wear her down..
I wrote this when I needed to fill out the page for the new MNIA website and it has become my strength, alongside the grace of God and his mercy..

I try to inspire myself with my words and I try to live by them too..

Enjoy

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to make a difference in the world. I wanted to create an establishment that wi
ll uplift and empower women. Coming from a family with a very strong educational background, I saw the relevance of education and the role it played in improving the lives of many women around me. I also witnessed firsthand a decision made by my extended family to send only the males to school since there were not enough funds in the family to send both genders. I was appalled at the decision and vowed to work to change this type of reasoning.

Creating MNIA has given me a clearer picture on how I want to bring education and globalization with women. My goal is to promote mentorships, and create a society that empowers women. My dream is also to assist individuals through life’s challenges and continue to place emphasis on getting a solid education. I have been asked several times why I chose to take on the promotion of education as a cause. The answer is very easy. Education is the core of a society. It is the key to the success of any nation. Educating a woman empowers a society.

Today, I can successfully say I have mentored over 100 girls who have gone on to become high achievers in the society that they live in. A good percentage of them have opened successful businesses and continue to help promote the mission and objectives of MNIA, Inc.

MNIA provides food, clothing, and toys to homeless shelters, children’s hospitals and orphanages to support causes that help uplift and encourage individuals. As the world becomes advanced, we have to fight for women to remain in strategic positions to assist in effecting change. We continue to push for education programs and fight for justice for women in general. We need to allow women to dominate in areas that will uplift and create programs that will help better our lives. We need to protect each other and not become victims of our society.

Remember, there is strength in numbers and together we can make a difference one woman at a time.
